Wardens’ accommodation unit on Scolt Head Island.
Scolt Head Island is on the UK North Norfolk Coast at Brancaster.
The building is timber frame and uses Panelvent as a sheathing board and is clad in Western Red Cedar.
The insulation is a mixture of Warmcel and Thermafleece.
The island has no mains services: photo voltaic panels provide all the electrical requirement for the building and rainwater is harvested from a ‘brown’ roof.
In 2005 the building won a CPRE Norfolk (Campaign to Protect Rural England) Award.
